Cumming

The city of Cumming is located about 40 minutes north of the city of Atlanta and located in Forsyth County.  Cumming is an outdoor lover’s paradise.  The city’s slogan is “The Gateway to Leisure Living” which is great description for this city.  Residents in this city can enjoy Lake Sidney Lanier, a new aquatic center and water park, and The Sawnee Mountain Preserve.  GA 400 provides easy transit into the city and other major locations making this a great suburb for residents.

Mary Alice Park offers residents and visitors access to Lake Sidney Lanier and outdoor grills, beaches, picnic tables, pavilions, and boat ramps.  A day spent on Lake Lanier is a day of fun for the whole family. The Cumming Aquatic center offers swimming lessons, water therapy, group exercise classes, and swim meets.  The adjoining outdoor park features a lazy river, large slide, and a play structure for children. The Cumming Fairgrounds also host a wide variety of events like a large 4^th of July Parade, the Cumming Country Fair and Festival, and an IPRA Championship Rodeo.
